Is Paying Taxes Patriotic...or Moral?

Joe Biden's now infamous quote during the campaign encourages those who make over $250,000 that the patriotic thing to do is to pay more taxes. Meanwhile many are saying that the rich have a moral obligation to pay more taxes. Both of these are wrong. Taxes are morally neutral. And the idea that if one wants to be a good American they should be happy about giving their drunk federal government more money is absolutely absurd.
