Can Buddhism Help Tiger?

Tiger Woods said he is going to rely on his Buddhist faith to get him through this ordeal. While I applaud him for turning to faith to help him through a tough time, I do have to agree with Britt Hume and ask, can Buddhism really help him out of this? I know Hume got a lot of heat for his comments, but the question is a valid one.
