Here we go again. The issue of Evolution in the public schools has once again resurfaced in Cobb County. Why is it so hard for Scientists to admit that evolution is not a fact, but a theory? Why is it so hard for Christians to admit that evolution could quite possibly explain the beauty of God's creation.

You seem to think that facts and theories are mutually exclusive; they are not. In science, a theory represents a comprehensive, successfully tested explanation of whole suites of facts. Indeed, in this sense, evolution is far more substantial than a simple fact; it explains a whole bunch of facts.
Evolution is as much a fact of nature as gravity and germs; the fact that there are theories of gravity and the germ theory of disease does not mean that gravity and germs are 'merely theories' and not facts.
