Sham-Marriage

Fernanda Romero is being accused of being in a sham-marriage. So much so that federal prosecutors are organizing their efforts around trying her for it. It makes me think of the movie The Proposal. And while I am not advocating sham-marriages, I do have to ask, is this really something the federal government should be apart of.
