The Pointless Glenn Beck Rally

Monday, August 30, 2010

I was driving back from North Carolina this past weekend and I saw more than one car that made it apparent they were driving back from the Glenn Beck rally in Washington DC. But I have to admit, I don't get what the point of it was. They say it wasn't political, yet had large tea-party over tones. They say it wasn't about one religion, but definitely had a church service feel. Frankly, I think the rally was Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - two things peanut butter / politics and chocolate / religion that just shouldn't be mixed that way.

Gravatar.com I am very disappointed in you. I do listen to you off and on, but find you are very liberal in some of your opinions. Also, I wonder why you are so against Glen Beck. I know he is Mormon and I could never accept their church theology and never become a Mormon. I am Catholic but I agree with Glen Beck's love for America and love for God. Our country is suffering due in part to the left's political correctness. The point of his rally in Washington was to inspire people to be proud of their country again and renew their faith in God. What is wrong with that? Surely, you are not jealous of his popularity? As far as President Obama is concerned, I have serious doubts as to his Christianity. He has not shown any outward signs that Jesus and God mean anything to him. With the dysfunctional upbringing he endured outside of the United States, it is no wonder he has no love for America. I do not hate anyone and I do not wish harm to anyone, but the election of President Obama was a terrible mistake and one that our country will be suffering for many years.

Gravatar.com I just listened to this show and Allen repeatedly stated that he was not against Glenn Beck, he was not clear what the purpose of the rally was.
