He's My King... Or Is She My Queen?

Oak was voted Homecoming King at his Michigan High School. Problem is, he is registered at the school as a female. Oak is a transgender child, but for all intensive purposes is male. He wears male clothing. His teachers refer to him with male pronouns. The band lets him march in male attire. But the school won't let him be Homecoming King because officially, to them, he is a woman. Interesting case that's for sure.
