The husband of multiple wives in the TLC show Sister Wives is facing felony charges. While this is a bit more of an obvious example of how reality tv is ruining lives, there are a lot of more subtle examples. Everything from the Bachelorette to Jon and Kate Plus 8, I mean just Kate Plus 8.
