Nobel for IVF Pioneer

The Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine was awarded recently to Robert Edwards - the pioneer of in-vitro fertilization. IVF is a classic case of a small amount of good, and whole slew of unintended consequences. Dr. Edwards should hardly be receiving a Nobel Prize for this.

The "Nobel Peace Prize for Medicine" goes back to that quack http://scienceblogs.com/dispatches/2005/03/sean_hannitys_nobel_prize_nomi.php">Dr. Hammesfahr from the Terri Schiavo case. Needless to say, Himmesfahr is as removed from winning a Nobel prize as Terri Schiavo was from mammalian brain function!
