You're On Food Stamps? No Mountain Dew For You

Mayor Bloomberg among others has gone on the crusade to stop people on food stamps from buying pop (that's soda for the rest of you) with it. Does any one see the irony in a man worth over a billion dollars telling the poorest people in our culture what they can and can't drink? Food stamps is part of what makes this country great: our compassion. If someone who is down on their luck wants to enjoy a Mountain Dew, let them.
