Punching The Ref In The Face

Thursday, October 7, 2010

A student in Grand Rapids, Michigan could face criminal charges after he was given a red card during a soccer game, asked to leave, and he responded by punching the ref in the face! Wow. I get sometimes the aggressive nature of athletes towards other athletes, but I retaliating against a referee should be sent a message. So how would you punish the kid? Criminal proceedings? Suspended from school? Anger management? I say, you don't let him be on a varsity team for the rest of high school.

Gravatar.com I agree with you about the punnishment you stated on your show. However I also think he should be banned by the Michigan High School Athletic Association from playing sports from any high school in Michigan. This way he won't be able to go to a different school in the area he's from and still play.
