Rise of Hate Crimes or Rise of Absurdity

Hate crime. It's the new thing huh? It seems now any crime that is done on any minority - albeit Muslim or Gay - it becomes a hate crime. News flash people: some crimes are just that, crimes. And to give it "special" status because it involved a minority is absurd. When Muslims start getting murdered in the numbers that Blacks were getting murdered 60 years ago, then I am willing to change my stance. But until then, America is a safer place for most Muslims (and definitely Gays) to live than anywhere else in the world...including Muslim countries.
