AL Trooper Goes To Jail 40 Years Later

An Alabama trooper who killed a black man - an event that created the famous march from Selma to Montgomery - finally had to face some consequences when he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor manslaughter and now is facing 6 months in jail. While many are questioning whether he got off relatively scott-free, the prosecutor said that he would likely have died before the court case was completed so at least this way he serves some jail time.
