Women Prosecuted For Murder Of Fetus Over Failed Suicide Attempt

A women in Indiana is being prosecuted for murder after she failed in an attempt to kill herself, but that resulted in her fetus being killed. And while I am as pro-life as they come, and very much see this at least as involuntary manslaughter - I don't see how we can prosecute her given that if she elected to abort this child it is constitutionally protected.

Gravatar.com Better yet, if abortion is legal because the law does not recognize the fetus as human then how could she be accused of any crime against the fetus.If the humanity of the fetus is recognized in any way,then how can the killing [abortion] of an innocent human be legal?That in law the humanity of the fetus is contingent on the mindset of the person killing the fetus [a mother who wants an abortion is not gulilty of murder but an assailent of a pregnant woman or in this ridiculous case a failed suicide attempt is], reveals how politically motivated abortion laws are.They have nothing to do with science which clearly shows human life to start at conception but everything to do with the will of the women's movement who succeeded in indoctinating the cutture with this anti-scientific and subjective view of the value of a human being.That this pro choice astounding flagrant violation of the bill of righrs, and human decency and compassion towards the innocent and defenseless prevails in our culture is astounding.The contradictions in the law when it comes to crimes commited to pregnant women or in this case by a pregnant woman exposes the underlying lie that a pregnancy is not a separate human life.The contradictions in the law reveals a remnant of the truth.
