3rd Grade Illegal Immigration Quiz Controversy

A 3rd grade teacher in Atlanta, Georgia is in some hot water after the class took a quiz that included a question about what America does with illegal immigrants. One of the answers - albeit the wrong answer - was America puts illegal immigrants to death. Needless to say there are many within the community outraged. But it raises the question in my mind, how and when do you discuss political topics with your children.

Gravatar.com There's something fishy about this story.Are third graders at the stage of reading to learn or learning to read? I would think the latter but regardless the absurdity of third graders discussing illigal immigration and executions is so mindboggling that I don't buy it. The whole thing must be a deliberate ploy on the part of pro illigal immigration people to stir the pot about this issue. Whether it eminates from the quiz makers or the teacher,they're both in collusion if this "quiz" question actually was posed to third graders. You are being naive, Allan Hunt if you see this as simply a "mistake" on the part of the teacher or "quiz " makers.It's appalling that children are being abused [bringing up emotionally laden politiical topics that they are not ready to understand is a form of disrespect and abuse of children's fragil minds]. in this way for political purposes.
