Do We Need A Sabbatical?

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Sabbaticals used to be just for academic professors to take a year off so they could do research and publish a book (like they even did that though). But now it is becoming quite popular in this "Eat Pray Love," baby-boomer driven culture to claim one needs a year off work to "find themselves." Don't get me wrong, I'd love to take an entire year off from work - but seriously? This is just one more attempt of the most self-centered generation of all time - the baby boomers - to find a way to be even more lazy and self-centered.
