Sperm Donor Daddy
Sunday, July 24, 2011
Ryan has spent the past two decades looking for his father, an anonymous sperm donor. Remarkably, we now have about 1 million kids in America who were spawned by an unknown sperm donor. Most of these children express an emptiness that they cannot fill, missing the love and relationship with a father who was merely a drive-by drop-off. Why would we intentionally do this to kids?

1. Ryan located his donor in 2005.
2. Ryan is only 21 years old now (he wasn't twelve "15-18 years ago").
3. The Donor Sibling Registry started in 2000, when he was 10. He was curious from the time he was 6.
4. Ryan never put a letter on the door of a sperm bank.
I wish I would have had a head's up so that I could have called in!
