Orwell would love Facebook

Jerry Buell has been suspended from his 20+ year teaching position near Orlando. Never mind that he was last year's Teacher of the Year at Mt. Dora High School. What was his offense? Expressing his opinion about gay marriage on his own personal Facebook page. Evidently, there is now a litmus test for beauty pageant contestants, political candidates, and public school teachers (not to mention talk radio hosts). If you do not endorse the creation of a new entity called gay marriage, you will be labelled a jerk/creep/bigot and cast into the outer darkness of society. Orwell would love it - think what you want as long as you agree with us. Some free thought and free speech, huh?
