No Adam and Eve for you

John Schneider was dismissed from his role as a theology professor at Calvin College, a Reformed Christian school in Michigan. Schneider published his thoughts that evolutionary science disproves any possibility that Adam and Eve were real people or that an original paradise existed. Calvin is right to be sure their faculty members subscribe to church teaching. However, while I believe that Adam and Eve were real, I am not convinced that it really matters. Human beings are sinful whether Adam and Eve fell or a larger group of original humans fell. The whole Christian faith does not ride on the historicity of Adam and Eve.
