Mitt's Faith...Again

Sunday, October 9, 2011

At the Values Voter Summit this week, a prominent Baptist pastor expressed his reservations that Mitt Romney's Mormon faith is a "cult." Needless to say, that blew up in the press, most of whose members have no idea what Mormonism even is in the first place. But it does serve to point out that most voters choose to vote based on one of the three F's - Faith, Finances, or Feelings. Nearly everyone is electorally motivated by one of those F's. For me, it is first and foremost Faith, and Mitt Romney's faith makes a big difference to me, as does the faith of each candidate. And Mormonism and its roots are very relevant to what makes me wonder about Mitt Romney's Presidential chops.
