Herman's no Reagan

Sunday, October 16, 2011

As Herman Cain skyrockets in the polls, some are calling him the new Reagan. From a leadership perspective, Cain appears to have some of the same likability that Reagan had, but the comparison is limited. There are lots of reasons for Cain's rise as evidenced by the attacks coming at him from Saturday Night Live, The View, and Lawrence O'Donnell. Regardless of Cain's politics, it should make America proud that we have arrived at a moment where two of the leading political leaders are black.

Gravatar.com Rant away, Liza! Let's collectively gnmiiae a world where both men and women are given their due respect. Who knows where this Herman Cain episode will end but because we are traveling this road with him and the news media, we are all a bit more informed and aware than before. Hopefully we can respond in healthy, productive ways when we see the next harassment circumstance raise its ugly head. Harassers, as well as victims, need help to stop the vicious cycle.
