Open Marriage and the Hook Up Culture

Marianne Gingrich suggested this week that Newt wanted an open marriage. Not really. Newt wanted a divorce and Marianne had a hard time hearing of his betrayal and rejection of her. She is still bitter, which is a common response for a jilted spouse. But this whole national conversation around Newt's pitiful marital performances lends itself to a look at the hook-up culture and the toxic relationships we not only accept but even endorse now. Dr. Miriam Goldmann, former campus psychiatrist at UCLA, joins me to analyze the hook up culture and how to prepare your kids to thrive in spite of it.
