Mormons 1 Catholics 0

Rick Santorum released his tax returns this week and disclosed that he and his wife have given away an average of about 2.5% to charity over the past four years. That places him well above the average Catholic, but substantially below Mitt Romney and the average Mormon giver. Mormons understand giving better than any other faith group I know, and Catholics lag at the back of the pack in this pursuit. I have studied giving and figured out what Mormons are better givers than Catholics and what that teaches anyone who desires not to be stingy.

I can tell you that to Mormons, giving is a way of life. Mormons are taught to serve and sacrifice at an early age. Mormons are taught that they must learn to be willing to sacrifice their time, talents, money and everything which God has given them for the service of God and man. This becomes second nature to Mormons.
If you research a little, you will find what appears to be amazing stories of Romney helping people in need, even when not asked. This is not unusual to a Mormon.
A careful study of the 4 gospels and the book of Acts will show that Christ was very firm on the need to sacrifice all for salvation. The ancient Christians lived communally and were commanded to give all to the church. One couple died for not complying (see Acts 4:32 thru Acts 5:10)
