The terrible attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, on September 11, 2001, changed America, and the way we view the world, forever. America learned, in no uncertain terms, that we have significant enemies who intend to destroy our country and our way of life. Fortunately for you and me, we have many dedicated individuals, in the military and the government, who are committed to our freedom, and are willing to fight, risk death, and be separated from family and friends for extremely long periods of time, in order to secure our safety and security. I have the privilege of knowing a Major in the United States Marines who has been fighting, sacrificing, and serving in Afghanistan for 14 of the past 18 months. I look forward to sharing his story with you.
