On March 12 of this year, Ashley Smith emerged as a remarkable hero. She shared her faith with Brian Nichols as he fled the authorities in Atlanta, and in doing-so, she helped bring a peaceful end to a violent trauma that affected the lives of so many as the Fulton County Courthouse shootings shook the nation. Her witness inspired millions and helped spark interest in the book, Purpose-Driven Life. But she was not the only hero that day. Another man, Hoyt Keith Teasley, quietly and bravely stepped into heroism that day. He is a remarkable example of what it means to live real life and faith the right way. On Sunday, I will share his story, and also speak with his widow, Deborah.
