I came across the story of Hannah Jones in England this week. Hannah is a 13 year old girl who has had cancer since she was 4 years old and is in need of a heart transplant. But when given the option to do so, she has chosen not to. She recognizes the heart transplant is a long shot at best, and will likely mean years of life long pain and suffering. So she has decided she isn't going to get the transplant and focus on the quality of her remaining life. Her parents think she is doing the right thing, and so do I.
