I'm a superficial guy who enjoys watching "The Bachelorette" with my family. This week's _Sports Illustrated_ on Tim Tebow got me thinking about role models in our society. Oddly enough, I think the media is playing a dangerous game by mythologizing Tebow while simultaneously dragging people down like Jillian Harris of "The Bachelorette." Making constant comparisons with others can disrupt our faith in addition to setting up our various role models for failure. Are you finding yourself caught up in unrealistic expectations because of frequent comparisons to others? Can this ever be good thing for our long term spiritual development?
