Have you ever run away from home? Was it the right thing to do? Earlier this month seventeen year-old Rifqa Bary fled her family in New Albany, Ohio for sanctuary in Orlando, Florida. Immigrants from Sri Lanka, the Bary family was Muslim but sometime over the past year teenage Rifqa converted to Christianity whereupon her father threatened to dispose of her apostasy through a family honor killing. There seem to be some circumstances where running away is both the right and moral thing to do. For Rifqa, this is an on-going saga that will resolve itself through the American family court system.
