Andrew Hall, the super successful energy trader at Phibro (a division of bailout-supported CitiBank), is entitled to a $100 million bonus for the $2 billion plus he earned his company despite the mass economic collapse taking place around him. President Obama, however, has appointed a Wall Street pay-out czar, Kenneth Feinberg, to curb the rampant excess of America's financial services sector. Despite the nasty attitudes toward Wall Street elite, does Hall deserve to have his bonus yanked away? What if he turned it down on principle? Have you ever turned down a bonus because "it was the right thing to do" at the time? Even if it were the moral thing to do, does the government have any right to decide how you can or cannot be compensated?
