Islamic Cartoons

Over the past couple of years several editorial cartoons depicting Mohammed have caused worldwide riots. When Yale University Press publishes Brandeis University political scientist Jytte Klausen's book _The Cartoons That Shook the World_ later this November, the press' managing editors have chosen not to reproduce the controversial images in their scholarly publication. They have done so in order to avoid any possible Islamic backlash against Yale. What does this say about the threat of radical Islam to America? What does this say about our educational establishment, protected by First Amendment freedoms, vis-a-vis the aforementioned threat? Should Yale publish the cartoons? How are we, as Americans, going to face encroaching advance of Sharia law? Should we stand up for our Constitutional rights or should we cower in fear of potential reprisals? I want to hear your views on this troubling topic.
