Good Samaritan Gone Bad

A woman in my home town stopped in a rain storm at the top of an interstate overpass to help a stranded motorist. A few minutes later a car came by an smashed into her, throwing her over the overpass and she fell 50 feet to her death. Sad, sad story. But is there a better way to go out of this world?
