On Wednesday of this week, the United States Supreme Court heard arguments for and against displaying the Ten Commandments on public property based upon cases originating in Texas and Kentucky. The two cases will provide an opportunity for the court to clarify previous rulings about the role of religion in public life. It is hard to believe that many people cannot acknowledge that religion, especially the Christian faith, played a significant role in the formation of the government and laws that guide the United States today. Additionally, it is interesting to note that the Supreme Court?s own courtroom contains a depiction of Moses with a tablet representing the Ten Commandments. Christian faith and values have guided this country since its inception. Why should we have to pander to the secular world that wants to remove God from public view?
