In 2007 Patrick Kennedy was told by the Bishop Tobin that he was requesting due to his public lack of support of Catholic teachings (mainly regarding abortion), that he was requesting he stopped taking communion. Well, 2 years later everything has blown up into a huge deal. Earth to Patrick: the Catholic Church can chose who they do and do not issue communion to and if you don't want to abide by the rules, what did you expect?
