I have been pretty outspoken over the years on why I think the death penalty is wrong. But even the criminals have figured the system out and it is just one more reason why the death penalty is covered in wrong sauce. BJ Johnson is requesting to be tried for the death penalty because he a.) knows it will probably never happen (thanks to the appeals process), and b.) the accommodations are way better. When will stop this absurdity and just end the archaic and asinine practice of putting criminals to death.
