The Atheist Councilman of Asheville

Asheville elected an atheist councilman in the past election and it has got the entire state of North Carolina up in arms. But just like the gay mayor of Houston, I might not agree with their life choices, but being an atheist doesn't disqualify one from office. All things being equal, I wouldn't have a problem voting for an atheist.
