New Rules For Teachers In Facebook Era

Monday, January 25, 2010

Did you ever see those rules for teachers that were published at the beginning of the 1900s. Things like teachers had to be home from 8pm to 6am and they couldn't frequent pool halls or dye their hair. Well 100 years later and it is looking like we are heading back to that thanks to Facebook. A Pennsylvania teacher was suspended after she was seen in a picture, fully clothed, with a male stripper at a bachelorette party that a friend of her's posted to Facebook. She didn't post it. She wasn't nude. But the school board said it's time for a little break. This is ridiculous and far exceeds what the school board should see as their jurisdiction.
